Murals - Abby's Room
Her wish was for a room that had fields, fences, flowers and owls. Using that and inspiration from a very cool moon night-light she had, I created a full-room mural showcasing the transition of time within a 24-hour period. And for the finishing touch, Abby's uber awesome mom hung Abby's name spelled out in wooden letters over her bed.
Some of the features I created for this project include:
-
2 floor-to-ceiling fabricated trees (one used as a coat rack and the other used as a bookcase)
-
A fully useable tree swing (hung from the rafters)
-
Vinyl fencing
-
Glimmer effect for stars and water using faceted plastic
-
An illustrated portrait of the family's cats
-
Lightning bugs that faintly glow
-
Sculpted, dimensional happy, waving squirrel
-
Owl-themed chalkboard
-
Hummingbird and hummingbird feeder
